Alaskan Malamute puppies rescued from a puppy mill in Jefferson City, Montana.
One hundred and sixty-one dogs were rescued from the property by the Humane Society’s Animal Rescue Team. Most of the dogs were emaciated and had only filthy water to consume in their pens. They were being sold on the internet and advertised as “show quality”.
The dogs are currently at Lewis and Clark Humane Society for evaluation and eventual adoption. They estimate the cost of caring for just these Malamutes at $2400 a day (!)
